So, I am back home. Arrived on Friday morning, was told that the automatic passport control will not work for under 18-year-olds since I look so very young... right , had to wait forever at the baggage claim - once more marveling at how there's always women who simply cannot recognise their luggage and then was surprised by my friend Sarah and my brother Hannes when I finally had my backpack and exited - sooo cool!
That meant I had a ride back home - yeah! Was pleasantly surprised how tidy I had left my flat (though that's changed by now already), went grocery shopping and then indulged in a proper German breakfast with Hannes who then stayed until about 3 pm before heading back to Munich. Once left alone I pretty much immediately fell asleep for about 3 hours - which turned out to be perfect as that allowed me to later go to bed at a normal time and completely fending off any jetlag.
It's very weird being back because it feels like nothing has changed, as if I didn't leave at all... Was completely at loss what to do with myself over the weekend but also not feeling well because of my Sapa-cold - so I spent some quality time with my couch That is until late Sunday afternoon, when I went first for a walk along the river Main and then to dinner with Susanne, and of course it was great seeing her again!
Today then was my first day back at work. Again really nice to see everyone and there it also feels as if nothing has changed - and apparently I am expected to be right on top of things after one day of handover... uah! That was a bit overwhelming and I will now get 2 days - woohoo
I still can't believe how quickly the past half year went by. Though objectively I did do and see loads of things so it really wasn't that quick - but simply so much fun and therefore time just flew by, I guess... Am really glad I had the opportunity to go travelling like I did to experience different countries and cultures and to meet so many cool people along the way and make new friends!
And now I have to do some adjusting back to the serious side of life...
