Day 7: NYC - There's too much to see

overcast 24 °C

I am a bit overwhelmed by New York City. There are just so many options of things to do and I've already come to terms with the fact that I'll only see a little fraction - the big limiting factor is not just time but also my feet :)

So I walked the High Line from south to north, then over to the Empire State Building (only to look at it from below) and on to the Grand Central Station and the Chrysler Building where I marveled at the interior. Afterwards I had to get out of the hustle and bustle and took a break on Roosevelt Island and was riding the East River ferry because I couldn't possibly walk any more. In the evening, Isabell, who is staying with me in my dorm, convinced me to go out again to see Times Square at night - and I've got to say that was so spectacular that I even forgot about my aching feet for a while :)

The picture of the day is the view I had from my dinner location at the East River in LIC - not so bad, huh?!
